NAI San
Diego is the successor in line to Merrill Lynch Commercial Real Estate
in San Diego County. The principal shareholders of the firm are Marten
Barry, Jr. and Mark Silverman.
Marten Barry, Jr. joined Merrill Lynch Commercial Real
Estate in 1981 when Merrill Lynch launched its national entry into commercial
real estate brokerage. Mark Silverman joined the firm in 1987. In 1990,
Barry, Silverman and other senior brokers of the firm acquired the San
Diego office. In April 1997, under the direction of Barry, they formed
a new California corporation, San Diego Commercial Real Estate Services.
Mark Silverman and Marten Barry, Jr. became shareholders and officers
of the new entity, specializing in the leasing, sales and management
of office and industrial properties as well as investment sales. In
2004, the firm became a member of NAI, the world's leading managed network
of commercial brokerage companies.
As a locally owned and managed company, NAI
